Axis and Allies USA Showcase

Axis and Allies USA Showcase

Sadly, I had to sell my massive German and UK lot off for bills years ago, but I was able to retain my USA army! This was a long time played childhood game for me, and I got a lot of use out of these miniatures over the years.

I repainted all of the vehicles and flocked all of the bases. I also custom made or printed everything vehicle in the small 1/150 scale so it would all match.

I included some M6 Heavy tanks in my collection. They were never used in combat, but as a big fan of World of Tanks (and they just look so stinking cool!) I had to include them when I found the stl.

My aircraft, like the rest of my collection, may have got tad out of hand.

I made some flamethrower variants of the Sherman and Satan. They were a historically accurate, and in some battles, pivotal unit that needed to be included. My obsession with flamethrowers didn’t help either. Their homebrew cards are in the Reloaded rules section.

Some M40 Long Toms for angsty firepower!

Red bands on barrels denote flame vehicles. White denote HE weapons (or at least weapons majority fielded with HE ammo anyways).

We always wanted to do a D-Day invasion, but never had enough amphibious units. I got tired of that and eventually accumulated 9 Higgins Boats, a squadron of 3 Sherman DD (not used exclusively by Canada, yet that’s where it officially lives?), and 5 LVT variants.

Screaming Eagles are just simply fantastic! Elite paratroopers pave the way, clearing out enemy forces rapidly to hold the choke points until ground forces can arrive.

Another shot of the infantry and air support.

Army squads with BARs and M1 Bazookas move up to suppress machine gun teams and push APC units back to make room for the incoming armor support.

Buffalos come up next. If screaming eagles and the army get bogged down, the tough Buffalos move into brute force their way through!

Marines follow behind with flamethrowers. “Rangers lead the way” normally, but I was running out of room for the photoshoot. They scale difficult terrain where no one else can! Lead by custom hero models. I HATE the Thompson model for the game, so I use the heroes for that instead.

More Marines disembark with armor support onto the beaches!

I also HATE the machine gun team model for the game. It looks like two lost dudes. Not a deadly weapon. So, I borrowed a bunch of Vickers and made more action looking teams!

Always need lots of artillery support!

More artillery support!
